This bird combines hand-painted and hand-applied feathers on a textured canvas. Each element was cut, carefully fitted, and placed to create the final design. The background was created from African fabrics cut individually to imitate the trees and leaves. The head was also made of African fabrics and cut into thin pieces to fit the face.
